One of the things that was hassle was writing out the Christmas cards to family and friends, writing out the addresses, then adding the stamps, before the self seal envelopes you were guaranteed a cut tongue from licking the envelopes, and before peel and stick stamps you could feel the glue on your tongue from licking them.
This Christmas I logged into send out cards the first week of the month (2011). I set up a campaign card, gave it a name Christmas 2011, picked a ready made Christmas card from the catalogue, I added my message and added some of my favourite family photos. At the top of the message I inserted "First name" from the menu and then add message and family, then saved the card.so then hit to send the cards by selecting names from my contact list in the manager, ok I can send these cards at a certain date but i choose to send immediatly, ok i selected the names to send to and then i selected the campaign name I i wished to send (Christmas 2011) and away it went.
So what happens when my friends open the cards, ok when they open the cards. Ok lets quote a few names, Jason, Alan, Sue, Elizabeth. When they open their cards they will see the following.
Jason and Family, Alan and Family, Sue and Family, Elizabeth and Family, how cool is that, I didnt even have to write each card out, oh how I love technology.
Ok so if you buy a card in store then you have to write it out and address it and add stamp, I can do this online for cheaper than it costs to do in store.
Now If i want I can go back and pick family members i want to send that card to, then I can add a gift like maybe some cookies and sweets or a great book or maybe even some brownies, yummy. Or maybe some cuddly toys, maybe some Jewellery, maybe some car accessories or a gift basket, whatever I need to send a s a gift there are tons to choose from.
Hey I can send these to clients or customers too. I can now take all my favourite photos and create a photobook, calendars, pictures
on canvas, vision boards...and even business cards.
What I love about this system is I have some photos stored in the send out cards system years, some photos I have at home I cant find anymore and I lost one of my memory cards but they are right there in the send out cards system and I can tag each photo, in other words when you add that photo you can give it some names, say you a were at a wedding and took some photos well you could name it as say wedding photos and year, or family name, add location, church name, now years later you lose the photos or they get damages in a fire. Login to soc put in any of then names you entered for the photos and bingo, they will appear online.
